  N-deal: Urging Caution
While we can't help cheer the agreement accepted by President Bush and Prime Minister Singh, we nevertheless urge caution. At this point, we still don't know the final negotiating terms. The Prime Minister is expected to make a statement to the Parliament. The devil is in the following details:
- How many reactors are finally going to be declared civilian? - What is the status of the fast-breeder reactors? - What kind of safeguards which are going to be applied (full-scope IAEA?)? - What about the "in perpetuity" clause (binding the reactors forever) advocated by Dr. Rice ?
Update: Some initial details are emerging from 24/7 TV channels. We would'nt read much from this at this point. Let's us wait for the official details to emerge in the days to come.
