  Shooting Miscreants for Aid
Via BBC:

Pakistani forces have killed or wounded at least 25 people in a raid on suspected foreign militants near the Afghan border, regional officials say.

Troops backed by three helicopter gunships attacked a suspected militant camp in the North Waziristan region.

"It was a training camp of foreign miscreants," government administrator Sayed Zaheerul Islam said.

The attack comes just days before a visit to Pakistan by US President George W Bush.

Right, those helicopter gunships were diverted just in time from fighting 'miscreants' in Balochistan. Perhaps. it could'nt have had a better timing to show its "worthiness" in G.O.A.T. Such gestures will fetch more F-16s. Who cares about reforming the education system or pushing towards democracy.
This would be mirthful if people weren't dying. Either Mush is a complete idiot with a single idea ("important visitor = massive operation against foreign terrorists") - or Mush really believes the world is not paying attention and keeping score. Most likely both.
The terrorists too paid back the tactically brilliant General in kind with the Karachi attacks. it is sad that so much blood is being shed in the internal power politics of Pakistan.
